… so this collection of wonderful kitchen accessories is especially exciting to me!

I found this amazing artist, glynnbebee, creating beautiful wood utensils on Etsy. They are beautiful and you can choose the wood he uses to make the utensil you order! I’m definitely going to be going to glynnbebee when I need to buy gifts for the 3 weddings my husband and I are going to this June!

These organic, eco friendly napkins from boxwoodgoods are equally exciting (yes … I get excited about napkins). The napkins are simple, elegant, and a great way to do your part in preserving our environment!

The final artist I would like to feature in my first kitchen favorites post is khphillips and his amazing pottery pieces. I especially love the queso pot but this olive oil decanter is very cool too!

Thanks for checking out my first kitchen favorites feature! Be sure to check back for more of my favorite finds from the wonderful world of Etsy!

I love this time of year…

Just driving down the street you have to smile. The sun shines more often. The trees are in bloom. And summer is on the horizon!

My really good friend is moving today all the way across the country to Atlanta. We have known each other for about 2 years now. She was my neighbor at our old apartment and we both got pups at the same time. We’ve shared a lot of wonderfully sunny afternoons taking the dogs for a walk or sitting at the dog park while they played (also many rainy afternoons in one of our apartments while the dogs played, bashing in to everything in sight). We shared special times like my wedding and her baby’s birth in September 2007. So yesterday we went on our last walk (at least while we’re living in the same state… hopefully I’ll get to go visit her sometime soon!) and it was a beautiful day for a walk! The sun was shining… it was so much more pleasant than the snow we had the day before! So, on our walk I captured this beautiful picture of the bright blue sky behind a blossoming cherry tree.

What a wonderful day for our last walk as neighbors!

This post is dedicated to friendship and always staying in touch! I sent her off with these so that we can send notes to each other the old fashioned way!
